August Ministry Update

Fall Semester is Officially Underway!

Well the semester has officially started and things at TTU are going great! August was an extremely encouraging month for me as far as ministry goes. Last August, I was having to navigate the challenge of every student being new to me. This year, I have been able to focus the first few weeks on Freshmen and new student outreach, and the Lord has been gracious to help me make connections with many new people. I have been particularly encouraged by our new intern Corinne and the way the Lord has used her to connect with female students. In August we were able to have our Ministry Team Retreat where we prepared for the upcoming semester, do a number of Week of Welcome events which primarily focus on meeting new people, have one-on-ones with students, start our Freshmen Small Group which is studying The Sermon on the Mount, begin our Large Group series “An Evening With Jesus” which is looking at Jesus’s final night before the cross in John 13–17, start up Community Groups, and have our monthly Sunday Night Fellowship where we worship and hear a testimony from a student. In the few weeks that school has been in session, I have been able to see students who don’t know Jesus begin asking questions about the gospel and even come to faith as well as see Christian students become excited about Jesus and want to take part in what the Lord is doing through RUF at TTU. Thank you all so much for your prayers and support! None of this would be possible without your partnership and investment in the students at TTU! Please be praying that the Lord would continue to use RUF at TTU to “Reach Students for Christ and Equip Them to Serve,” and that He would bring many students to our upcoming Fall Conference Sept. 22-24.
